Our approach to – Waste Management

Re used roof tiles
Re-used roof tiles save waste

We are painfully aware that waste in construction contributes to over a third of the UKs total yearly waste.

At Bespoke Living Construction we know it is our responsibility to do as much as we can to Reduce/recycle and reuse where possible. Our aim is to reduce CO2 emissions and waste generated on our sites.

REDUCE – This is achieved by encouraging designs to cause less waste, working with local architects to tackle this issue.  Avoid over ordering materials.  Order materials in advance to reduce number of deliveries to site.

REUSE – When renovating we salvage/reuse where possible.  We donate items to Stonepillow a local homeless charity who support and empower the homeless to achieve sustainable independence and wellbeing. Rather than throw it in a skip we donate items that can be sold in the charitys shop or can be used setting up safe accommodation for the homeless and vulnerable.  We have recently restored a bath and reused ledge and brace doors.

RECYCLE – We recycle where possible, sorting through our waste.  We recycle our ink cartridges from the office and use a recycling waste collector.
